Student Dental Nurse – Culture Event
On Tuesday, 25th February, the student Dental Nurses at Kings celebrated a lunchtime Culture event, excellently organized by Keziah Opoku-Mensah. Participants were encouraged to share a dish representative of their cultural heritage, along with a piece of music that resonated with their cultural identity.
The event took place in the Dental Nurse Classroom and attended by all students and some staff. Most students contributed by either preparing homemade dishes or purchasing favorites to share with their peers.
The diverse spread featured a delightful array of culinary representations from Morocco, Albania, Cyprus & Turkey, England, Afghanistan, Ghana, Jamaica, Nigeria, Portugal, Angola, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Germany. In the background, a curated playlist of the nominated music pieces added an enriching auditory experience, enhancing the cultural celebration.
Congratulations to Keziah for organizing this wonderful event that not only showcased the rich tapestry of cultural diversity among the students but also fostered a sense of community and appreciation for each other’s backgrounds.
